The one great thing about being a photographer or self employed is the fact I make my own schedule. I decide what days I am available and roll with it. My birthday is not one that I would normally be open, at least that’s what I would like to think. But, when Autumn called me and asked if I would photograph her wedding (her wedding date on my birthday) I didn’t even think twice. Mainly because Autumn and Stephen are a wonderful couple and photographing their wedding would be an honor. To celebrate a day of happiness and joy with them was the perfect birthday gift.
When the day began, though it was December, the sun was bright and no snow to be seen. Autumn was joyfully getting ready when I arrived, and with all of the hustle and bustle her bridal party was starting to put on the last touches. After Stephen and his crew smiled and laughed, the church began to fill with their guests. One of the highlights for me, besides seeing these two officially tie the knot, was seeing the sabers arch! A great tradition! After the toasts happened, and their first dances were off, the Lawrence Contra Dance began!
I had a wonderful time at this wedding, and there were a lot of highlights. Here are a few, or what I like to call a slice of Stephen and Autumns beautiful day. Enjoy~
